HEART & Soul

(Healing Emotions with Art & Recreation Together)

Through CAH’s HEART & Soul Program, children who have been sexually abused and adolescents, ages 9-18, benefit from the safe environment of a small group setting.

Year-round, gender-specific, 8-week sessions allow children to engage in a variety of activities that help them:
  • Learn how to identify their feelings.
  • Understand that they are not alone in their struggles.
  • Develop skills to support one another.
  • Regain self-esteem.
  • Build self-confidence.

Activities, led by trained CAH staff and interns, include unique, therapeutic approaches to art; expressive movement; yoga; music; horseback riding; outdoor activities; Hawaiian cultural activities; community service; and team-building.
